Paducah Spring Quiltweek not affected by second event

PADUCAH- Organizers for the American Quilter’s Society say the first Fall QuiltWeek in Paducah did not affect the 2018 Spring QuiltWeek.

Executive Show Director Bonnie Browning says 30,487 people came to attended the multi-day event in April. She adds that slightly few than the 31,246 in 2017.

Browning says this proved their first Fall QuiltWeek in 2017 did not hurt the spring event. She adds 70% of those who attended in the Fall had never been to Paducah, so the second even brought in new visitors.

Browning says they are now prepaing for the 2018 Fall QuiltWeek. They will opening registration for AQS members on May 22 and the general public on June 5.

The 2018 Fall QuiltWeek is set for September 12-15.
