Amanda Roberts reports during the week for the 5 and 6pm newscasts. She’s always been a people person, so be sure to say ‘hi’ when she’s out and about- she loves meeting new people!
Amanda is a proud Nashville native, but has some strong ties to the New England north.
Amanda graduated from Brentwood High School and packed up for Massachusetts where she attended Boston University. She took a detour from journalism, working on the school’s soap opera set, BayState (you might be able to catch her in the background as an extra!).
During college, Amanda interned for the Boston Red Sox with the Spanish Beisbol Network where she was able to help broadcast live games from the best seat in the house. Amanda also interned with WHDH-TV the NBC Boston affiliate where she first learned the inner workings of a newsroom.
In August 2013, Amanda joined the WPSD team working her way from first Associated Producer and then Web Editor and is now excited to tell your story. She always knew her passion was in news ever since her elementary school class took a field trip to the CNN headquarters in Atlanta.
You might be able to catch Amanda out on a run, or finishing a book with a cup of coffee. She’s a real family girl and proud big sister to three younger brothers. Be sure to say ‘hello’ if you see her out or have a story idea. You can also email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also follow her Facebook page by clicking here.
