Most martial arts allow you to defend against someone your size or smaller, but when a predator attacks, they always choose someone smaller or weaker than themselves for fear of being seen or getting hurt(they are cowards of course). The Japanese art of Aikido uses off balance and circular motion to control the attacker and uses very little strength.Return to event list.
We offer a weekly women' self defense course that teaches women to use the principals of Aikido to turn your attackers momentum against him, take him down and eventually learn to pin them safely on the ground.
Class is held at the Paducah Parks department- 1400 HC Mathis Dr. just around the corner from the Noble park entrance, on the second floor in the martial arts room (room 1). Tuition is $50 a month, wear comfortable clothing.
