Event Description

Stefanie's class had so much fun and did such Ah-Mazing work this past summer, we're doing it again! LowerTown Artist Stefanie Graves will lead you through a Beginner's Watercolor Series starting November 11th. This class will meet six times - every Monday evening through December 16th. Although this class is suited for beginners, those who have already taken from here will enjoy it again. You won't be painting the same subjects, and you will have a chance to "lock down" those basics of watercolor you learned a few months ago.

Please bring the following:

Synthetic or blended hair brushes: a medium and small round (#12, #3) for watercolor and 1" flat for watercolor
Palette: a white plastic palette with a cover and a good sized area for mixing colors
Painters or drafting tape
Masonite board or foam core, approx. 16"x30"
Masking fluid and pick-up
Paint: Winsor & Newton, Cotman or Grumbacher are acceptable. It isn't necessary to get professional grade.
Necessary colors include: French ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson, lemon yellow, viridian green, raw umber and burnt sienna.
Additional colors that are good to have are: sap green, magenta, permanent rose, auinacridin red, pthalo blue and indigo.
A small round sponge and a natural sponge
