Murray State athletics has learned from ESPN that Dave O'Brien and Dick Vitale will be on the call for Saturday’s Sears BracketBusters game against Saint Mary's.

The game will tip at 5:05 p.m. CDT on ESPN at the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky.

"It's a real honor to have Dick Vitale coming to Murray," MSU Director of Athletics Allen Ward said. "When it comes to college basketball, it doesn't get any bigger than Dickie V.   The game's already sold out, so we're primed and ready to put on a good show for him and the national television audience.  What a great opportunity to showcase Racer basketball."

Vitale was selected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008. The longtime ESPN broadcaster has been with the network since its inception in 1979. Vitale called ESPN's first NCAA basketball game – Wisconsin at DePaul Dec. 5, 1979.

"All of us are excited to have Dick Vitale visit Murray State," MSU head coach Steve Prohm said. "He has been college basketball’s biggest advocate and it will be fun to have him calling the game at the CFSB Center."

O'Brien joined ESPN in 2002 and serves as a play-by-play commentator ESPN’s telecasts of Major League Baseball as well as college basketball, NBA  and NCAA Women's Final Four.

The game will mark the first time a ranked Murray State team has played another ranked team and it will mark the first time two ranked teams will have played at MSU's CFSB Center.

The Racers are currently ranked 14th in the latest ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll and 16th in the Associate Press Poll. They are 24-1 under first-year head coach Prohm and have clinched a share of the Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship at 12-1.

Saint Mary's is 16th in the ESPN/USA Today Poll and 21st in the AP rankings. The Gaels are 23-3 under 11th-year head coach Randy Bennett and lead the West Coast Conference with a 12-1 record.

MSU is 5-2 in the Sears BracketBusters series and has won the last three, including last season's win against Evansville.

The game is also senior day for Murray State's three seniors: Ivan Aska, Jewuan Long and Donte Poole.
