$1 million Powerball ticket sold in Kentucky

PROSPECT, Ky. - A $1 million Powerball ticket was sold in Kentucky, but it was not in the Local 6 area.

The ticket sold at a retailer in Prospect, a suburb of Louisville.

A ticket is a $1 million winner if it matches all five numbers, but not the Powerball.

There were nearly 125,000 tickets in Kentucky that won anywhere from $4 to $1 million. The jackpot-winning tickets were sold in the Kansas City area and in Arizona.

The winning numbers in the record $587.5 million drawing were 5-16-22-23-29. The Powerball was 6.
