3 arrested after high-speed chase in Saline, Williamson counties

SALINE COUNTY, Ill. - Three men are in jail after an armed robbery and a high-speed chase in Saline and Williamson counties in southern Illinois.

Police arrested 19-year-olds Collin Crim, Kashmere Barners and Paul Marshall, Jr.

The pursuit began after a man called Saline County Central Dispatch and said he had been robbed by three men with guns. The victim said the men left in a black Pontiac.

Saline County Sheriff Keith Brown spotted the Pontiac on Route 13 near Harrisburg. The suspects refused to stop and headed west toward the Williamson County line, driving as fast as 109 miles per hour.

The Illinois Secretary of State Police continued the pursuit into Marion, where Williamson County deputies, Marion Police and Illinois State Police officers were waiting. The three men were arrested without incident.

All three men were charged with Armed Robbery with additional charges pending.
