CARBONDALE, Ill. - Imagine a park where you can take your kids and not find cigarette butts on the ground or have to side step the smell of smoke.

One Illinois community is making that a reality.

Castle Park in Carbondale is going tobacco free.

Under the new policy, the park will post "No Smoking" signs and clean up existing evidence of smoking on the park grounds.

The Jackson County Health Department and park staff will host a celebration Saturday, October 26 as part of the "We Choose Health" initiative.
