Crash causes traffic issue in West McCracken County
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. – An ambulance rushed a woman to the hospital after a crash in western McCracken County Monday.
It happened at the intersection of Highway 60 and Kelly Road.
Investigators with the McCracken County Sheriff Department say 29-year-old Terri Richards of Paducah was driving down Kelly Road when her five-month old child distracted her. She failed to stop at a stop sign and drove into the path of 43-year-old Carrie Stapleton of Metropolis.
Stapleton also had a child in the car with her.
An ambulance took Richards to Baptist Health Paducah for her injuries.

The crash happened just after 4 p.m. on Highway 60 and Kelly Road.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department reports two vehicles were involved. There was an adult and child in each vehicle for a total of four people.
There’s been no word on injuries.
