Driver dies in Monday morning crash in northwest Tennessee

WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. - One person was killed in a crash on US 45 Monday morning.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway in Weakley County. The highway patrol says a car driven by 26-year-old Melissa Davis hit a truck in the rear. The truck was being used to patch potholes on the road.

Davis died as a result of the crash. Three people in the truck were injured, but there is no word on the extent of their injuries.

MARTIN, Tenn. - All lanes of US 45 are shut down north of Martin, Tennessee due to a crash.

Several emergency vehicles and a helicopter are on the scene.
