WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. - A Williamson County, Illinois deputy facing his second DUI charge pled not guilty.

Investigators say Deputy Shaunn Curry was driving his personal car last month when the Williamson County Sheriff's Department got calls about an intoxicated driver on Illinois Route 13, east of Marion.

Illinois State Police then pulled over and arrested Curry.

A hearing is set for April 22 where he will attempt to get his driver's license back.

In 2009, Curry was convicted of DUI in a 2007 incident after he crashed his truck at an intersection in Marion, Illinois. Curry was sentenced to two years of court supervision, twice what typical first-time offenders get.
