MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - A chain reaction crash in western Kentucky sent four people to the hospital Thursday.

It happened at the intersection of U.S. 62 and Massac Church Road in McCracken County just before 10:30 a.m.

Investigators with the sheriff’s department says 88-year-old Annette Mix of Bardwell, Kentucky was rear-ended by Anthony Cruse, 23, of Paducah.  Then another vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Lacey Patrick of Cunningham hit Cruse’s car.

Kentucky Transportation Department employees were working in the area and saw the crash.

Ambulances took Mix to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Emergency responders also took Patrick, along with her children, to the hospital.  Doctors checked them and released them with no injuries.
