SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - A key Illinois house committee has approved an expansion of Medicaid.

The bill would cover low-income adults who don't have children at home.

More than 300,000 adults would be covered by the bill, but some legislators have expressed concern about covering the costs.

The state senate approved the expansion and Governor Pat Quinn says he supports it.
