GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. - It started out as a routine call and continues as a manhunt.

Investigators are looking for Thad Skaggs after a car chase.

A deputy from the Graves County Sheriff's Department responded to New Hope Church Road after someone reported the driver of an orange and blue car was cutting donuts in a parking lot there Thursday afternoon.

After the deputy arrived, he ran the plate and got out to speak to the driver.  That's when the driver stomped on the pedal and sped away.  The deputy followed.

The pursuit went down New Hope Church Road, across KY 121 near a work zone, where it almost struck two vehicles. The car continued on KY 945.  That's where the driver left the car and ran on foot.

He left a juvenile inside.  The deputy took the juvenile into custody and later released him to his mother.

A short time later, investigators realized the driver was Skaggs.  They also learned he has numerous warrants out for his arrest.

If you know where Skaggs is, contact the Graves County Sheriff's Department at (270) 247-4501.
