WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. - A Williamson County, Illinois judge ruled against a complete recount of ballots for the Herrin mayor election.

In April, Herrin City Alderman Steve Frattini finished three votes behind incumbent Mayor Vic Ritter.

Frattini requested a partial recount.

He then subpoenaed specific ballots and presented it to  a circuit court judge.

Those ballots were not properly introduced as evidence before the court.

Therefore, the judge ruled there was not adequate evidence for a complete recount.

Frattini does not plan to challenge the election results any further.
