Kentucky restricts physical discipline in schools

The Kentucky Board of Education has approved a new regulation that would limit certain disciplinary actions in schools.

The regulation greatly restricts any punishment involving physically restraining or secluding children.

Restraint or seclusion can now only be used if a child's behavior poses a danger of serious physical harm.
