PADUCAH, Ky. - Nearly 260 workers for a subcontractor at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion plant will be getting Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications, or "warn notices," for layoffs.

LATA is planning to get rid of 145 of its 320 positions.

According to a manager, both hourly and salaried employees are on the list because of reduced funding from the Department of Energy.

The letters provide a 60 day notice, which means the bulk of the layoffs will happen around July 2.
