Labor Day Parade to take place in downtown Paducah
PADUCAH, Ky. - The City of Paducah's annual Labor Day Parade will take place Monday.
The festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. at Broadway and 14th Street. The parade will then head toward downtown before taking a left on 2nd Street to Madison.
Up to 70 entries are expected in this year's parade.
The main parking lot by the downtown waterfront will be closed to parking all day to allow for vendors, inflatables and train rides.
Political speaking will begin at noon with United Coal Miners Association President Cecil Roberts as the keynote speaker. Paducah Mayor Gayle Kaler and McCracken County Judge Executive Van Newberry will also speak.
The farmer's market will be open throughout the day's festivities.
