Man faces drug charges after undercover investigation

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. - A Graves County, Kentucky man faces a whole host of drug trafficking charges.

Sheriff Dewayne Redmon says 61-year-old Frank Morefield was arrested after the Drug Division conducted an undercover investigation.

Morefield faces two counts of Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st and 2nd Offense, Trafficking Controlled Substance 2nd Degree and Trafficking Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.

With warrant in hand, investigators searched a home on Waggoner Bottom Road.  They found a large quantity of narcotic medications such as Oxycotin, Percocet, Methadone, Amphetamine, Hydrocodone, Lortab and Xanax.

They also seized a small amount of cash that were proceeds of illegal drug sales conducted in the home.  

During an interview, Redmon says Morefield admitted to selling prescription medications to individuals.

The sheriff says he expects more arrests as his department investigates the alleged crime.
