Man faces likely life-threatening injuries after stabbing

HERRIN, Ill. — Police found a local man in his yard injured in a possible stabbing Tuesday morning.

Herrin police believe the injuries Charles P. Morris sustained are life-threatening.

An ambulance transported the 45-year-old Herrin man to Herrin Hospital but he was later flown to St. Louis University Hospital in Missouri.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrest has been made.
