McLeansboro man dies after being hit by car

MARION, Ill. - New developments concerning the pedestrian who died after being struck by a truck Wednesday night in southern Illinois.

Police arrested a Marion, Illinois, man in connection to the incident.

It happened on Route 37 in Marion.

The county coroner says 40-year-old Scott Etienne was walking in the north bound lane when the truck hit him.

Marion Police say they charged 36-year-old Quentin Arnold for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in a death.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. - A Williamson County man has died after being hit by a car Wednesday night.

According to coroner Junior Burke, 40-year-old Scott Allen Etienne, of McLeansboro, was hit while walking in the northbound lane on Route 37 just north of Crites Road in Marion.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. and remains under investigation.
