Two rushed to hospitals after motorcycle crash on I-24

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - Emergency responders rushed two people to the hospital after a motorcycle and car collided on Interstate 24.

It happened in Marshall County Friday afternoon.

Investigator with the sheriff's department say the John Ryan of Chicago, the driver of the car, started to slow down due to road construction.

The motorcycle behind him, driven by Michael Pyatt of Bonne Terre, Missouri tried to slow down in time but collided with the rear of Ryan's car.

An ambulance took Pyatt to Lourdes Hospital.

Shannon Pyatt, a passenger on the motorcycle, was flown by Air Evac to Evansville, Indiana.

No word on their conditions at this time.

The crash blocked traffic on I-24 for some time.  Traffic resumed to normal a short time later.

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - A motorcycle wreck closed eastbound lanes of Interstate 24 in western Kentucky Friday.

It happened near the Tennessee River Bridge in Marshall County.

Investigators say the motorcycle and another vehicle were on the bridge one of the vehicles clipped the other.

Emergency responders rushed two people to an area hospital:  one of those by helicopter.  The other by ambulance.

WPSD Local 6 doesn't know the patients' condition.

Eastbound lanes reopened shortley after the crash.
