Murray man faces several charges after motorcycle chase, crash in Graves County

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. - A Murray man is in a Nashville hospital facing multiple charges after trying to run from Kentucky State Police.

According to Trooper Trevor Pervine, 20-year-old Jake Wrye was riding a motorcycle south on US 45 in Graves County when Pervine tried to pull him over.

Wrye lost control of the motorcycle when it hit a culvert, throwing him several feet. He was taken to a local hospital, then flown to Nashville.

Wrye was cited for DUI, Speeding, Reckless Driving, No Insurance, Disregarding a Traffic Light, Trafficking in Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Trafficking in Controlled Substance (unspecified), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Fleeing/Evading Police 1st Degree.
