PADUCAH, Ky—'Tis the season of giving and each year we see people step up to help others in big ways.  Someone answered the call and donated $1,000 to Project Hope Humane Society in Massac County.

Check out the video. The donation was not made in a person's name, but in the name of 9-pound Tiny. Her owner got Tiny from Project Hope years ago and wanted to give back to the organization.

The owner wants the donation to benefit a small business in town. Phelps Farm & Home Service Store opened their doors today so volunteers could shop.  Cathy Neri volunteers with Project Hope and said she is thankful people have good hearts.

"It's when someone like our angel here who has given us the funds we can use for much needed supplies, because we have currently over 100 cats and 80 dogs at the shelter," said Neri.

Project Hope Humane Society is a no-kill animal shelter.  To learn more about shelter, click here to visit their Facebook page.  If you would like to donate, click here.
