Paducah man faces drug, theft charges

PADUCAH, Ky. - A Paducah man is behind bars for allegedly taking prescription drugs from his girlfriend's home.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, 31-year-old Johnathan Mabry was seen leaving a residence on Timberland Drive around 4:30 yesterday with several items, including his girlfriend's purse.

When deputies caught up with Mabry in Reidland, they found the purse, which contained narcotics prescribed to the victim.

Deputies also say Mabry admitted to entering the residence and taking items that he and the victim shared over the years, as well as her purse.

Mabry is charged with theft of a controlled substance and theft of a legend drug, both felonies.
