Passenger dies in Trigg County crash

TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. - Kentucky State Police say a driver failed to stop at a stop sign, causing a crash that killed a Barbourville, Kentucky woman Tuesday night.

According to troopers, Martha Taylor was driving when she ran a stop sign and hit a car driven by Kristena Gallimore of Dresden, Tennessee, at the intersection of Canton Road and US 68 in Cadiz just before 8 p.m.

A passenger in Taylor's car, 49-year-old Mary Dell, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Taylor and 15-year-old Jonas Dell were flown to a Nashville hospital, while Kristena Gallimore, Timothy Gallimore and 12-year-old Kaitlyn Gallimore were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Troopers say no one in Taylor's car was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
