CARBONDALE, Ill. - He's considered armed and dangerous, and police are trying to get him off the streets.

The Carbondale Police Department charged 35-year-old Donnelle Campbell with aggravated battery with a firearm, home invasion and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

On Tuesday, officers responded to a house in the 700 block of North Robert A. Stalls Avenue after someone reported a person suffering from a gunshot wound.

Investigators say Campbell allegedly walked into the victim's home after several earlier fights.  As quick as he arrived, he left.  A short time later, Campbell and the victim started fighting again over on East Birch Street.  During that fight, officers say Campbell shot the victim in the foot with a handgun and left.

Ambulances took the victim to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale with non life-threatening injuries.

Police say Campbell is still on the run.
