CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ky. - Law enforcement in two western Kentucky counties are looking for a man they say broke into the Crittenden County Animal Shelter and stole his dog.

The pit bull attacked a little boy outside the Three Rivers Machine Shop in Livingston County on May 9. While trying to help her son, his mother was also attacked.

The victims were taken to a local hospital and the dog was taken to the Crittenden County Animal Shelter.

Livingston County Sheriff Bobby Davidson says Wesley Woolridge owns the dog.

Days before the dog was to be euthanized, the padlock at the shelter was cut and the dog was taken. Now, the dog and Woolridge are both missing.

Woolridge has been charged with Harboring a Vicious Animal.
