MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - Officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new McCracken County High School Thursday.

Several notable leaders attended the event.

Some of those included McCracken County School Board Chairman Jeff Parker, A&K Construction President Ken Hunt, McCracken County High School Principal Michael Ceglinski and McCracken County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Nancy Waldrop.

"The results of the last seven years of planning, two and one-half years of construction, two years of curriculum development, and all the prayers and dreams of so many; the results of all of this are measured by the lives our students build from the opportunities available here," Dr. Waldrop said.

She went on to say, "The beautiful form of this building follows its wholesome function. It supports every student. It gives each student a place to be involved, no matter the learning style or the career direction. The building, the curriculum and the staff are designed to support each student."
