MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - There are few things that surprise first responders at the scene of a car crash.

You could say a six-foot long python slithering out of the vehicle is probably one of them.

That's exactly what the McCracken County Sheriff's Department found overnight Wednesday.

Deputies responded to the crash on Highway 286.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening inuries and charged with driving under the influence.

Investigators say the driver, Taylor Griffith of Kevil, lost control of the car, hit a ditch and the vehicle flipped.
