 Here are the six things you need to know for your day in news today, Monday, January 27th:

  1. Get ready for another round of arctic blast. Temperatures in our area are expected to be in single to double digits below zero.
  2. US 60 from the McCracken County High School to Maxon Road will be reduced to one lane this week. The TVA plans to do power transmission work starting today.
  3. The investigation continues on the weekend shooting spree at a Maryland mall. Police say the 19 year-old suspect, Darion Aguilar expressed unhappiness in a journal . Saturday's attack killed three people, including the gunman.
  4. Stamp prices are up again. The cost of a first class stamp went up 3 cents over the weekend to 49 cents.
  5. Seven students from UT Martin are going to the Super Bowl. Their sporting management professor hopes the experience helps them learn more about the sporting industry.
  6. Daft Punk is getting lucky. The robot-headed duo won four Grammy Awards last night including the Record of the Year for 'Get Lucky" and Album of the year for "Random Access Memories".
