MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - The woman serving time for hitting and killing a Marshall County man with her car in 2011 will serve an additional six months in jail.

Judge Dennis Foust said Tiffany Pittman will serve her jail time consecutively to her criminal conviction.

The additional jail time comes after Circuit Judge Dennis Foust held Pittman in contempt of court last week. The ruling stemmed from Pittman's pregnancy, as her unborn child was conceived while she was supposed to be receiving mental health counseling before her trial late last year.

In December 2011, a Marshall County jury found Pittman guilty of Manslaughter, Wanton Endangerment and Driving Under the Influence. Jimmy Harper was on his way to work when he was killed in the crash.

Pittman received a 15-year sentence for her role in his death.
