One person dies in car versus motorcyle crash Friday

PADUCAH, Ky. - Ambulances rushed two people to the hospital after a Friday afternoon crash.  Sadly, one of the people hurt died.

It happened just after 1 p.m. on Paducah, Kentucky's downtown loop.

Police say 73-year-old Manual Jones of Paducah, who was heading down 3rd Street, tried to turn left onto Norton Street.  That's when the Jones collided with a motorcycle heading the opposite direction.  The rider of the motorcycle:  52-year-old Christopher Bailey of Calvert City.

Ambulances took both Jones and Bailey to Baptist Health Paduch.  That's where McCracken County Deputy Coroner Ben Bradford pronounced Bailey dead.

The crash blocked the street for more than an hour, but have since reopened.

The crash is under investigation.
