After locating Roy Allen Thompson's whereabouts, the Calloway County Sheriff's Office went to a home in Riviera Courts, north of Murray, KY where they knocked on the door and had a brief discussion with one of the residents of the home.

Mr. Thompson then came to the door and was arrested without incident and transported and lodged at the Calloway County Jail on Tuesday, January 28th.

The details of the case that preceded a warrant for Roy Allen Thompson's arrest have been released pertaining to this case:

Saturday, January 25th, the Calloway County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a domestic dispute on Lovers Lane.

Roy Allen Thompson demanded to be let into a home in Calloway County on Lovers Lane.

The victim refused to let Thompson enter the home, but Thompson pushed the victim aside and went to the bedroom.

The woman tried to get Thompson out of the home by throwing some of his personal items out the door, but this only angered Thompson who then proceeded to assault the victim with his fist.

The woman grabbed a hammer, swinging it at Mr. Thompson and hit a bottle that he was carrying with the hammer.

Thompson then proceeded to dump the contents of the bottle on the woman, causing 2nd degree burns.

The victim was forced to sit in the home for an hour while Thompson searched the home.

The woman was allowed after the search to use the phone to call her mother, but the victim made a call to 911 instead.

When authorities arrived on scene, Thompson had already left the home.

Family members transported the victim to the Murray Calloway County Hospital for treatment.
