West Frankfort man arrested for meth inside his car

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. - West Frankfort Police arrested a man after finding methamphetamine in the suspect's vehicle.

Police say they pulled over 41-year-old Steven Morris in the 700 block of West Midway Street for driving while his license was revoked.

An officer smelled a strong odor from the vehicle and found methamphetamine and meth making materials.

Morris is charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Materials, Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Production, Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia in an Unauthorized Container, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Driving while License Revoked

The West Frankfort Police Department also says Morris was already on parole for previous drug-related offenses.

Police transported Morris to Franklin County Jail.
