MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - The final tally is in for the Asian Carp competition.

Barry Mann of Gilbertsville, Kentucky caught the most pounds of fish with just more than 28,000.  He takes home the $10,000 prize.

Heath Frailey finished second with more than 22,000 pounds and he'll pocket $4,000.

Over the past two days, 14 teams competed for that $10,000 prize.

Organizers had hoped to catch 200,000 pounds of Asian Carp during the two day event.

"There is an excitement level among them because they see a market growing.  And that is what will keep them interested.  If there is a viable market and they can sell the fish, they'll learn how to do this.  They will get really good at it and they will help control this lake," Mark Marraccini with Kentucky Fish and Wildlife said.

Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officers are discussing the possibility of expanding the competition to four or five tournaments a year.
