PADUCAH - The dead are about to rise, and they need brains. And arms, legs, and anything else you can provide this Saturday. Open auditions for the upcoming film “Revelation Trail” will take place Saturday at several locations in Paducah.

The first round of auditions are scheduled for Maiden Alley Cinema in downtown Paducah from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Another will be at Whaler’s Catch on North 2nd Street from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The zombie western is about the undead rising from the grave in late 19th century America and provides a glimpse of the human condition at that time. Sometimes it just takes the undead to remind us what it means to be alive.

Filming will take place in western Kentucky and southern Illinois.

Anyone planning to audition is asked to bring a head shot of themselves for the casting crew to review. For those without a head shot, an on-site professional photographer will provide one at the cost of $10. Auditioners for speaking roles can choose to bring a prepared monologue or simply recite two to three minutes of their favorite movie.

John Gibson, one of the film's producers, says there are a variety of roles available, but anyone interested in being one of the walking dead should be prepared to show the casting crew their idea of zombie movement, whether it's a slow Romero-style shuffler to the newer fast-moving undead.

Anyone needing more information on how to be an extra in the movie can email Gibson at revelation.trail@gmail.com, and those interested in auditioning can see what lead/supporting roles are available by clicking here. At the film's website, they can find downloadable casting details and documents.
