KENTUCKY -- Three cases of influenza have already appeared in the state of Kentucky.

The first two cases were discovered in Henderon and Jefferson Counties, with a third popping up in Perry County.

The Kentucky Department of Public Health says this is typically the time of year our area starts seeing the first of the flu.

A flu shot takes about two weeks to fully kick in to your immune system.
