Carbondale meeting scheduled for tonight

The Carbondale City Council has called a special meeting for tonight to discuss how to best market and promote the city.

According to The Southern, the city has been in discussions to reopen the Carbondale Convention and Tourism Bureau with greater oversight, but the two sides can't agree on who would sit on the board.

The city currently has more than $250,000 for tourism spending.
