Gov. Quinn annouonces $2.1 million project for I-24 Ohio River Bridge
MASSAC COUNTY, Ill. - Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn announced a $2.1 million maintenance and repair project for the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge.
The bridge connects Massac County, Illinois with McCracken County, Kentucky.
The project involves repaving the bridge and performing repairs to the bridge structure. Halverson Construction Co., Inc. of Springfield will handle the construction work.
“This project will help traffic flow and safety on this major southern Illinois interstate highway,” Gov. Quinn said. “It will also employ a number of construction workers, which will help the local economy.”
This project is part of Governor Quinn’s $31 billion Illinois Jobs Now! program.
