METROPOLIS, Ill. -- Honeywell in Metropolis says it will launch an internal investigation today after hydrofluoric acid leaked Wednesday afternoon.

No one was injured and the gas did not leave the plant.

Yesterday's leak was the second in six months since temporary workers replaced locked out United Steel Workers of Local 7-669.

Union members say temporary workers are not fit to handle dangerous situations at the plant.

Roger Hannah, a spokesperson for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission says he disagrees.

No word yet on what caused that leak.
