SALINE COUNTY, Ill. - Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan filed a motion to dismiss the suit on behalf of Saline County States Attorney Michael Henshaw.

Former Saline County Sheriff Deputy Todd Fort filed the suit against Henshaw last month.

Fort pleaded guilty in 2011 to aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

After his sentencing, a member of the media filed a Freedom of Information Act regarding recordings of the phone calls fort made in jail, which Henshaw released.

Those recordings ended up on a public website called "The Disclosure."

Fort is seeking $250,000 in damages.

Henshaw's motion to dismiss argues that he is entitled to immunity for responding to the Freedom of Information Act.
