BENTON, Ill. (AP) - A southern Illinois woman is accused of running a garage sale she falsely claimed was being held on behalf of a fundraising group formed after last year's shooting death of a 21-year-old woman.

Prosecutors in Franklin County have charged 50-year-old Donna Restivo of Benton with a count of deceptive practice.

Authorities say Restivo placed a newspaper ad for a garage sale, saying proceeds would go to the Justice For Molly group.

That organization was formed after the unsolved death of Molly Young, a Carbondale woman whose case is now being reviewed by a special prosecutor.

Investigators say Restivo didn't contact the group or turn over the unspecified amount of money she raised.

Restivo doesn't have a listed home telephone number, and online court records don't show whether she has an attorney.
