CARBONDALE, Ill. - We'll see if people can behave.

That's what Carbondale, Illinois has decided about its longtime ordinance that prevented three bars from being open on Halloween weekend.

In a 4-to-2 vote, Carbondale City Council members voted Tuesday night that "Hangar 9", "Stix" and "Sidetracks" will be allowed to operate under their normal liquor-license restrictions.

The mayor voted against the proposal as concerns of the Halloween rioting of years past that prompted the ban around 15-years earlier.
