WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. - The man who Marshall County Deputies say hit and killed 23 year-old Magean McCoy on Thanksgiving Day is now in the Williamson County Jail in Illinois.

Marion Police say Jeffrey Nelson stole a vehicle at the Pilot Truck Stop and got into a crash about a week go. Nelson was on a furlough to attend his mother's funeral in Georgia. He was to return to Paducah on a bus, but didn't get off until the stop in Marion.

He faces several charges related to the deadly crash in Aurora and could face an escape charge once he returns to Kentucky.
