Man convicted of killing four-year-old

SALINE COUNTY, Ill. - Guilty.  That's the verdict jurors handed down in the trial of the man accused of killing a four-year-old child.

Investigators charged Richard Turner II, 35, of Eldorado with 1st degree murder.  Jurors convicted him Friday after a two-week trial.

Turner killed four-year-old Jessika R. James.  She did from closed head trauma on June 22, 2009 at St. Louis Children's Hospital.

A sentencing hearing will be held for Turner on May 16th at 10 a.m.
