Two brothers, 12 and 14, die in drowning in friend's swimming pool

CARBONDALE, Ill. -  We now know the names of the two brothers who died while swimming with friends in Carbondale, Illinois.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says 12-year-old Alick Monson and 14-year-old Lewis Monson, were swimming unsupervised in the family's pool.

They were later found at the bottom of the pool around 7:30 Saturday night.

The brothers, who are from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, were taken to Carbondale Memorial Hospital were they later died.

The coroner says the cause of death was drowning.
