Winter weather causes critically low blood supply
PADUCAH - This year's extremely cold weather caused approximately 280 blood drives in 25 states to be canceled across the U.S. That led to a shortfall of more than 9,000 blood and platelet donations since January 2nd. Locally, Paducah has cancelled so many blood drives they've lost out on 400 units of blood.
