Woman charged in deadly crash, allegedly driving under the influence

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. - She allegedly killed a woman while driving under the influence.  Friday, a grand jury indicted her on related charges.

The four-count indictment charged 29-year-old Melissa Beasley with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol.

On April 13, the Benton, Illinois resident allegedly hit and killed Kelley Robles and severely injured Kristy Boyer.  The crash happened on Forest Baptist Church Road near Benton.

A press release from Evan Owens, the Franklin County State's Attorney, says Beasley was driving with a Blood Alcohol Content level more than .08.

After her arrest, authorities took her to the Franklin County Jail.  Beasley's bond is $100,000.
