2 Cadiz teens face assault charges after altercation with family member

CADIZ, Ky. - Two teenage cousins are facing assault charges after an altercation with a third family member in Cadiz, Kentucky.

Cadiz Police say 19-year-old Wykeem Bryant and a 17-year-old juvenile went to the home of Corey Alexander on Friday. An altercation ensued between the three, who police say are all cousins.

Police say the juvenile pulled a handgun and attempted to shoot Alexander, but the gun misfired. The juvenile and Bryant then fled on foot.

Bryant was arrested later that night and charged with Conspiracy to Assault 1st Degree and Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 2nd Degree.

Police found the juvenile late Sunday night and took him into custody. He is charged with Attempted Assault 1st Degree and Possession of a Handgun by a Minor.
